Overnight oats are amazing and there are so many different ways to enjoy them. I am a mega cheesecake fan so bringing these two wonderful things together made total sense to me! One of my other favourite things is pudding for breakfast (see my Cheesecake Breakfast Bars if you don’t believe me!) so this is pretty much my perfect way to start the day. (more…)
Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE pizza! It’s basically my spirit animal and probably quite a large part of the reason I gained so much weight in the first place. It’s also my biggest downfall on Slimming World because I just can’t say no when it’s offered to me. That’s why ever since starting on this journey I’ve been coming up with ways to enjoy pizza without going off plan. I made my delicious Syn Free HexB Pizza (with wholemeal bread mix) and have made my own Syn Free Pizza Sauce too, not to mention my Pizza Stuffed Burgers and Pizza Jacket Potatoes, and now I’m back with my Syn Free One Pot Penne Pizza Bake! This is the ultimate in one pot pizza bakes and gives you all of the carb loaded satisfaction of pizza without the guilt! You can watch the video below or read the instructions to find out how to make it! (more…)
There’s less than a month until Christmas and if you haven’t started stocking up for Christmas then it’s high time you did! Food and Christmas go together like hand in glove and there are some delicious foodie gifts and stocking fillers out there to get your hands on. From candy canes for the trees to chocolate making kits there’s endless choices for the foodie in your life, many of which I’ve included below….but Christmas isn’t all about food, it’s also about the booze! I’ve also included some suggestions for drinks you could be buying this Christmas, either as gifts or to enjoy on the day itself! (more…)
This slow cooked chicken and butternut squash curry couldn’t be much simpler! Totally syn free it’s a true ‘dump and run’ recipe, and by that I mean you chuck it all in the slow cooker, give it a bit of a stir and leave it. It genuinely doesn’t require any more stress than that, and whilst you leave it to cook for three hours it probably takes no more than 10 minutes of actual hands on time. Moreover, it’s a seriously cheap recipe and feeds six (or makes six individual portions depending on your set up) for well under £1 per portion. (more…)
Slimming World is like one big family, we’re all on the same journey and we’re all working off the same set of rules. With this sense of community come some hilarious, and some serious, similarities that we’re all aware of on the plan…I’ve rounded up a few of my favourites! (more…)
Packed with speed food and melted cheese this pasta is to die for! So simple to make, in just one pot (massively saving on the washing up there!), it’s the perfect mid-week meal or comfort food for a lazy weekend where you just can’t be bothered to cook but really don’t want to give in to naughty temptations. You don’t need many ingredients in to make a slap up meal, it’s just a case of having the recipes under your belt to know what you can make from those ingredients!
See below for the recipe video and instructions! (more…)
I’m officially already excited about Christmas, it is without doubt my favourite time of year! It’s full of family, fun, friends and food, what more could you want? Well, as it turns out many people want presents…who knew 😉 if you’re stuck for what to get your sister/mother/daughter/girlfriend/wife/friend this Christmas my FOR HER gift guide might just have some useful suggestions for you! It’s almost Christmas party season and we’re all slimming to get into our glad rags, but with that comes the prospect of endless nights off plan and the possibility of undoing all of the hard work. Don’t get me wrong, I love a party as much as the next gal but I’m pretty keen to limit the damage where possible! Any good party (in my opinion anyway!) has nibbles, to hand around on platters and line everyone’s stomachs before the booze gets too much, and as such they tend to be stodgy and unhealthy. Not any more though! These divine little nibbles are only 2.5 syns, and pretty large at that! Watch the video to see how to make them, or see the instructions below: (more…)
For anyone looking to totally revolutionise their life, it’s important not only to look at the food they eat, but what they do with their body on a daily basis too. Exercise is key to long term success for many, although I seriously envy anyone who can happily lose weight without it!
If you, like me, had to give in to the inevitable fact that your body isn’t going to get there on its own, you’ll have also found a sudden need for new gym clothes! There’s a lot of choice out there for a girl, or guy, looking to update their gym attire, and sometimes it can be overwhelming choosing between the myriad different leggings, tops, sports bras, shorts, trousers and costumes. In this situation it’s often useful to have a bit of a helping hand, and I was thrilled when I was introduced to Proskin, who bill themselves as creating ‘intelligent apparel for fashion and sport’, and what’s more is that they actually deliver on that!
