Syn Free Tomato Soup – Step By Step Instructions

Once you have your soup maker or hand blender to hand, you can get cooking this delicious and healthy Slimming World tomato soup. As with so much cooking, the longer you leave the ingredients to simmer on the stove, the more flavour they’ll have. I have included the least amount of time that I recommend boiling all of the ingredients, but if you have the time you should definitely leave it to simmer for as long as you can!

Step One

Slice your large tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, onions and garlic and lay them out on baking trays.

Season the large tomatoes with dried oregano, thyme, salt and pepper.

Sprinkle the fresh basil over the cherry tomatoes.

I don’t have vegetable stock cubes can I use chicken or will it waste the flavour?

Really great Tomato Soup Recipe, Thank you. I used a teaspoon and a half of garlic granules, as I didn't have fresh garlic on me. Turned out fine! Maybe only needed 1 teaspoon, as garlic granules are quite strong. I also added in a couple of teaspoons of tomato puree, just to give it a richer tomato taste. Any sides you'd recommend to have instead of bread? I had a thick slice of sourdough with it which was very nice, but not very diet friendly of course!

I'd do this with a cheese toastie 2 x slice of wholemeal bread, with some reduced aft cheddar inside 😋 xx
