Speed Food Shopping List

I am forever looking up which foods are speed and which aren’t when I’m planning my meals, and it gets boring! So I decided to pull this list together using my book and the internet, for all of those people who like me forget to take their book with them, or perhaps are doing Slimming World from home and don’t have all of the resources that you do in group.

This list covers speed foods specifically, not just free foods, and I’m sure there are some which aren’t on there…it should give you a pretty good idea though! There are lots of other fruit and veg which you can eat to your hearts content on Slimming World, like banana for example, but these foods are the speed ones which means they can be eaten on an SP day, and they’re the ones that Slimming World recommends filling up at least 1/3 of your plate with! You can download the list to your phone, tablet or computer in the link below and you could even print this to take to the shops with you if you don’t like walking around on your phone! Alternatively you can simply using the images below, it’s totally up to you!

Syn Free Garlic & Parsley Fried Mushrooms – Basement Bakehouse
05/12/2016 at 4:42 pm […] One of the most important pieces of advice any Slimming World-er can give a newbie is to eat as much speed fruit and veg as possible. The general rule is one third of your plate, but of course that doesn’t always happen. Just try and do that as much as you can and you’ll be fine! On a perfect week I might have 1/3 at every meal, more often than not though I probably mange it for about 75% of my meals…which isn’t too bad considering! Speed foods are the high density low calorie fruit and veg, which makes them ideal for filling us up without weight gain. If you’re not sure what counts as a speed food and what doesn’t just have a look at my Speed Food Shopping List.  […]

How Slimming World Works – Basement Bakehouse
05/01/2017 at 12:47 pm […] Speed Foods come under the free food category and are made up of fruit and vegetables. Whilst all fruit and veg is ‘Free’, apart from Avocado (sorry!) some have lower calories and less sugar than others and are therefore classed as ‘Speed Foods’. Slimming World recommends for the plan to work best that you fill up 1/3 of your plate at every meal with Speed Foods! This means that you are replacing a third of your plate with lower calorie, lower sugar but high density filling food, perfect for boosting weight loss without ever needing to be hungry! The key is not to just add a helping of Speed Foods onto the side of an already packed plate (for instance as a side salad), but is to actively replace a third in order to get the best possible results. You can find a list of all the Speed Foods on Slimming World here in my Speed Food Shopping List.  […]
